A place where young makers, crafters, inventors and designers can turn their ideas into reality. If you’re aged 12-17 and would relish the opportunity to experiment with creativity, learn new skills and meet other young people with similar interests, then Maker Club is for you. You can work on your own creative enterprise or join in with team projects, such as First Lego League, Antweight Robot Wars competitions or video game challenges.
Whether you’re already part of a young maker community or don’t know one end of a soldering iron from the other, we have technologies such as 3D printers and laser cutters at your disposal alongside experienced staff to turn your imagination into matter.
THINGS TO REMEMBER
When you book a ticket, you can arrive from 10AM to 2PM, and stay for however long you want up ’til 3pm. Please indicate when you book your ticket if you think you will come for a session in the morning, the afternoon, or stay all day. You don’t have to stick to it, but it helps us know when to expect you.
We have a tuck shop with drinks and snacks, but if you are planning on spending the day with us, do bring your own lunch.
All sessions are unaccompanied, please ensure you have filled out a Parental Permission Form available here or at the club.
Science Oxford welcomes everyone to our clubs. If you have additional needs, please get in touch on firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss how we can best support you to make the most of the club.
